Internships

Doctoral students shall carry out internships in accordance with their main path, but with a minimum of 30 hours (in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20th, 2018, Article 201. 5. The educational program may provide for professional practice in the form of teaching or participating in the teaching of classes, not exceeding 60 teaching hours per year).

QPE Programme:

A doctoral student is required to complete 30 hours of internship. The internship can begin at the earliest during the second semester (after passing the “Higher School Didactics” class). Part of the internship is carried out in the form of individual teaching workshops described earlier. The remaining practice hours can be carried out in the form of a doctoral student’s participation in classes taught by his/her supervisor or a designated didactician, and in the form of classes taught independently by a doctoral student.

SDNH:

Internships may be carried out in the form of independent teaching by a doctoral student or assisting in the teaching of classes by a supervisor or a designated didactician. Different forms of calculating hours are used depending on whether classes are taught independently or assisted.

SDNS:

The recommended number of hours of teaching practice is 90, the minimum number is 30, and the maximum is 180 hours. Internships can begin at the earliest during the second semester (after taking the first Higher School Didactics class).

Part of the internship is carried out in the form of individual teaching workshops described earlier. The remaining hours of internship may be carried out in the form of the doctoral student’s participation in classes taught by the supervisor or a designated didactician, and in the form of classes taught independently by the doctoral student.

Form of internship: participation in the preparation of classes for first and second semester students, assistance in conducting laboratory classes designed for first and second semester students, independent teaching by the doctoral student.

A doctoral student is required to complete 30 hours of practice. The commencement of the teaching practice is possible upon obtaining credit from the course on “Didactics of higher education”, i.e. in the second semester of studies at the earliest.

The teaching practice may be carried out in the form of independent teaching by the doctoral student or of assisting in the teaching
of a course conducted by a supervisor or other academic staff member.
