Mid-term evaluation (OŚ)

In accordance with  the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018, Article 202. 2. The implementation of the plan shall be subject to mid-term evaluation in the middle of the period of education defined in the curriculum, and in the case of education lasting 6 semesters – during the fourth semester.

The implementation of the IPB submitted within 12 months of the start of studies shall be subject to mid-term evaluation. Documents for the OŚ shall be submitted by doctoral students and their supervisors within the deadline specified in the relevant Order of the Director of the MSD. The Order also contains specimens of the necessary documents.

Detailed rules for conducting the evaluation are described in the MSD Regulations [LINK] in paragraphs 25-30.

The evaluation of doctoral students admitted under the regular recruitment procedure will be carried out in October and November of a given year by the Mid-term Evaluation Committees. The evaluation of doctoral students admitted under the National Science Centre PRELUDIUM BIS programme or Doktorat Wdrożeniowy is carried out during the summer holidays (indicatively from 20 July to 20 September – exact dates are given in the Ordinance).

Once the documents have been submitted, you will only be contacted by the secretariat in the event of formal incompleteness.

If you do not receive any feedback from the secretariat, this means that the documents have been accepted and passed on for further processing.

The Commission conducts the evaluation on the basis of the submitted documents (see below) and an interview with a doctoral student (paragraph 27 subparagraph 1).

Deadline for submission of documents:

– 1 July to 19 July 2023. – for doctoral students who are completing their fourth semester of training in the summer semester of the 2022/2023 academic year and have been admitted to the Doctoral School in connection with the National Science Center PRELUDIUM BIS programme or Doktorat Wdrożeniowy;
– from 20 September to 30 September 2023. – For doctoral students who are completing their fourth semester of training at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School in the summer semester of the academic year 2022/2023
