Completion of a year
A doctoral student is obliged to complete a year.
Completion takes place in several steps.
- A doctoral student checks if he/she has all grades from the courses passed in the academic year in the USOSweb system. Missing grades should be reported directly to professors conducting classes and the student should ask them to fill in the gaps.
- The doctoral student verifies if subjects taken in a given year are linked to the programme of a doctoral school and an appropriate stage of study.
Based on the data in the USOS system, the MSD’ secretary’s office prepares an individual transcript of records for each doctoral student for a given academic year. If a subject is not linked to the programme , it will not appear on the transcript. If a subject is linked to the programme but there is no grade, the subject will appear on the transcript with a blank space instead of a grade.
Transcripts of records are sent to doctoral students’ individual e-mail accounts in the uw.edu.pl domain by 10 September of a given academic year.
A doctoral student is required to check the completeness of the transcript.
If the transcritp is complete , information on its completeness must be sent back to the secretary’s office (via e-mail). There will be no information on the transcript about a completed didactic internship. If a doctoral student has carried out an internship in a given academic year, in response to the e-mail with the transcript, an Internship Card, completed and signed by the supervisors – Download printable Practice Card – docx document. should be sent. Once the Card is sent, the Secretary’s Office will revise the transcript of records and send it back to the doctoral student for additional verification.
