Second round of IDUB scholarships for the preparation of doctoral dissertations in line with POB issues
PhD students at the UW are invited to apply for the 2nd edition of IDUB scholarships for the preparation of doctoral dissertations in accordance with POB issues.
The objective of the grant is to create better conditions for the scientific development of doctoral candidates at the University of Warsaw and to contribute to the development of Priority Research Areas, thanks to which the University will increase its international recognition, by:
- involve doctoral candidates in conducting scientific research related to the issues of POB,
- effectively compete with other universities for the most talented doctoral candidates,
- individualise the path of education for doctoral candidates,
- increase the research experience of doctoral candidates,
- retain the best graduates of doctoral studies and Doctoral Schools at UW.
The call is being conducted from 05.12.2023 to 08.01.2024 22.01.2024

A complex programme of support for UW PhD students – microgrants, 3rd edition
- Name of the competition: Microgrants to co-finance the publication and research activities of doctoral candidates – 3rd edition
- Objective: co-financing for the publication activities and specific research activities of doctoral candidates at the University of Warsaw, which will improve the quality of research carried out by doctoral candidates in connection with dissertation preparation and facilitate their defence
- Applicant: a PhD student at the University of Warsaw
- Date of competition announcement: 26.05.2023
- Start date for the call for proposals: 26.05.2023
- Budget of the 3rd edition: 2,500,000 PLN (1,250,000 PLN for activities: proofreading, open access, participation in a foreign or national research query abroad, participation in specialised training and 1,250,000 PLN for activities: a short-term research trip, a long-term research trip, conducting scientific research, conducting scientific research as part of a scientific trip)

IV.4.1. A complex programme of support for UW PhD students
The action is addressed to PhD students learning at 3rd level studies and within PhD schools. Its main objective is to support scientific activity of PhD students, including preparation of dissertations and implementation of research which may be published in internationally recognised scientific journals and publishers. A special path will also be available within the Action, addressed to PhD students planning to conduct research within one of the five Priority Research Areas. Those who qualify will obtain special supplements to scholarships and carry out research directly related to the POB.
