Heuristics – “Interdisciplinarity facing the challenges of the modern world”

The “Heuristics” series was initiated by the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, and involves four meetings per year.

On 10-12 May 2024, the Symposium of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School was held at the European Centre for Geological Education in Chęciny.

MSD were represented by:

Diana Jaworska („How FOMO makes us unhappy?”);
Maciej Świtała („What will the Warsaw court decide on a May morning? AI helps to understand the courts”).

MSD were represented by:

Magdalena Grabowska (“How is social media stopping us from being happier?”) – argued why the pursuit of increasing wealth will not make people long-term happy, and may only distract from the true sources of long-term happiness;
Aleksandra Grzegorska (‘What’s gnawing at you from the inside’) – revealed what secrets of modern humans future generations of palaeoparasitologists might learn;
